Description

Royal Canin Kitten Dry Cat Food

Kittens grow so quickly and their energy levels are through the roof by the time they hit 4 months of age! With high play drives, developing bones, growing muscles, emerging teeth and a growing desire to explore the world around them, older kittens have different nutritonal needs than younger baby cats. Royal Canin Kitten Dry Cat Food provides a highly digestible source of protein, vitamins and minerals that support a maturing digestive system. An easy to chew kibble that is small in size and made just for kittens, this should be fed as a transition from Royal Canin Mother & Baby Cat Dry Cat Food.

As far as I know this isn’t grain-free, but then I also read somewhere that not being grain-free doesn’t automatically mean it’s bad for your kitten, or less healthy than grain-free food. And certainly it seems as if my kittens are doing very well on it, and seem to prefer it to some other grain-free dry food.

My 3 kittens prefer this to another brand that is grain free and more expensive. So, I guess this must be really delish to them and will keep feeding them this till they are 12 months of age. They have been doing well thus far on this.

I started with these as my kittens were fed this, but made the switch when I did some research on cat food. Look at the first few ingredients – I could not understand these: [Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, vegetable protein isolate*, animal fats, maize, hydrolysed animal proteins, maize gluten]. Compared to other brands who have actual recognizable ingredients, I was not sure why these were included but have since switched my kittens to Wellness.
