Hello pet parents! Today, we’re going to look at NutraGold, a brand manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods. In light of the recent promotion that’s ongoing for the NutraGold brand here in Singapore, we’ve gotten some requests from customers to do a little review on the brand, so here we have it.
NutraGold Dry Pet Food boasts two ranges — The NutraGold Holistic Range for dogs and cats, and the NutraGold Grain-Free range for dogs only. The brand positions itself as a mid-range, affordable feeding option for pet parents on a budget but still want to have some quality in the food their pets eat.
NutraGold Holistic contains the following formulas for dogs:
Nutragold Holistic Lamb and Rice Dry Dog Food$22.80 – $85.00
Nutragold Holistic Salmon and Potato Adult Dry Dog Food$25.70 – $94.00
NutraGold Grain Free contains the following formulas for dogs:

Today, we’ll have a look at NutraGold’s grain-free formual — the NutraGold Grain Free Duck & Sweet Potato Dry Dog Food.
NutraGold Grain Free Duck & Sweet Potato Dry Dog Food
Duck (15%), duck meal, sweet potatoes (15%), peas, garbanzo beans, potatoes, chicken fat, fish meal, tomato pomace, chicken digest, flaxseed, salt, dried chicory root (0.05%), tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, dried Enterococcus faecium fermentation product, dried Lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product, dried Lactobacillus casei fermentation product, dried Lactobacillus plantarum fermentation product, dried Trichoderma longibrachiatum fermentation extract.
NutraGold’s grain free range is targeted at appealing to dogs with allergies and specifically require foods with single-protein sources. The duck formula itself uses sweet potatoes, peas, and garbanzo beans as main sources of carbohydrates, in place of oats, grain and rice.
NutraGold Taste Test
Sniff, sniff… I smell something edible.
Angel, our office food tester, has eaten NutraGold’s grain free formulas on occasion. We were graciously gifted a few samples packs that were stashed away for times we ran out of food at home, or when she came in to work without a bite to eat. She did not show much interest in NutraGold per se, but ate without complaint and showed no signs of further scratching than she normally did. As a relatively thin coated Golden Retriever, she did not shed any more than usual either. We can’t comment on whether a picky eater would like these, and so would recommend NutraGold Holistic or NutraGold grain free formulas to pet parents on a budget, who are looking for an affordable formulation to feed their dogs or cats.
Overall Verdict on NutraGold Grain Free Duck & Sweet Potato Dry Dog Food
